It’s been the major driver in my introspection on how (and indeed why) I approach relationships and has uncovered some considerable flaws on my part (most notably my codependency tendencies, for want of a better phrase) that I am glad of the opportunity to work on.

I’m *still *dealing with its catastrophic effect on my ability to trust. But that’s more a part of the ‘false faces thing’, which for you was a different relationship entirely.
