<h1>Background</h1>
<p>By all accounts, I have been an utterly voracious reader since I was able to read. This is translating into a growing love for writing, both fiction and non-fiction. My writing hero is Terry Pratchett - I hardly dare hope that my writing might one day might make people think with something approaching his level of wit and incisiveness. His work has had a huge impact on me personally, and reinforced my belief in the power of words.</p>

<h1>Fiction</h1>
<p>I have an ongoing love/hate relationship with National Novel Writing Month. I am yet to produce anything publishable from my efforts, but that is the eventual goal. I also dabble in short story writing. Sometimes even poetry.</p>
<h1>Non-Fiction</h1>
<p>Frentic Scribblings is the name I have settled on (for now) for my blog, which hosts anything and everything from philosophy to poetry. I write about life, in all its forms, and about my experiences. I find writing a hugely cathartic process.</p>
